This is an individual assessment. You are required to develop an operation plan pertaining to the case study below. Please ensure that you have addressed each component with an appropriate level of detail.
CASE STUDY:
NORTH SIDE BRISBANE FOOTBALL CLUB THE NORTH SIDE BRISBANE FOOTBALL CLUB THE ‘HAIRY NOSE WOMBATS’ IS THE LATEST FRANCHISE TO JOIN THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE AFTER BEING THE TOP TEAM IN THE LOCAL DIVISION FOR THE PAST TEN YEARS. AS PART OF THE MANAGEMENT PROCESS, THE ORGANISATION NEEDS TO DEVELOP ITS MEMBERSHIP SUPPORT BASE AS THIS IS ONE OF THE REVENUE STREAMS THAT SUPPORT THE CLUB FINANCIALLY. IT IS THE AMBITION OF THE CLUB TO WIN A PREMIERSHIP BEFORE 2026. A COMPONENT TO ACHIEVE THIS IS THROUGH INCREASE IN MEMBERSHIP AND SPONSORSHIP. THE ESTIMATED COST OF WINNING A PREMIERSHIP IS 6 MILLION DOLLARS PER YEAR FOR 5 YEARS. OVER THE YEARS, THE CLUB HAS ENJOYED STRONG MEMBERSHIP WITH A SUPPORTER BASE OF 25 THOUSAND MEMBERS WHICH HAS 2 MEMBERSHIP COMPONENTS – SINGLE MEMBERSHIP AND FAMILY MEMBERSHIP WHICH SHARES A 50-50 SPLIT. THE ORGANISATION NEEDS TO INCREASE MEMBERSHIP TO 50 THOUSAND MEMBERS BY THE END OF 2020 TO BE COMPETITIVE IN THE NATIONAL DIVISION. THIS WILL BE ACHIEVED BY RETAINING ITS CURRENT MEMBERSHIP (LOYALTY MEMBERSHIP), EXPANDING TO NEW MEMBERSHIPS AND INCREASING CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP. MISSION OUR MISSION AS A COMMUNITY BASED SPORTING AND SOCIAL ORGANISATION IS TO PROVIDE THE PEOPLE OF NORTH BRISBANE WITH AN AVENUE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE OWNERSHIP OF THEIR FOOTBALL CLUB. VISION OUR VISION IS TO ENGAGE WITH THE COMMUNITY TO BUILD A GRASS ROOTS DIVERSE ORGANISATION AND TO INCLUDE ISSUES SUCH AS “WOMEN IN SPORT”, “FIT AND HEALTHY YOUTH” AND “DISABILITY IN SPORT. THIS WAY, THE HAIRY NOSE WOMBATS CAN BE A TRUE REPRESENTATION OF SPORT IN OUR COMMUNITY. CULTURE THE NORTH BRISBANE FOOTBALL CLUB HAS A HISTORY OF 66 YEARS STARTING FROM MODEST BEGINNINGS AS A SOCIAL CLUB FOR LOCAL RESIDENCE. THE HAIRY NOSE WOMBATS HAVE A PROUD HISTORY OF SUPPORTING LOCAL VOLUNTEERS IN ALL COMMUNITY SERVICES. CORE VALUES

FOR ALL QUEENSLANDERS, QUALITY OF LIFE INCLUDES SPORT. AS THE SPORTING LANDSCAPE HAS CHANGED OVER THE PAST DECADES, THE NORTH BRISBANE FOOTBALL CLUB WANTS TO RETURN THE GAME BACK TO THE SUPPORTERS, AS A SPORTING NEED AND A SOCIAL NEED. WE WANT GRASS ROOT SUPPORT ENABLING ALL WITHIN THE COMMUNITY TO PARTICIPATE. STRATEGIES THE NORTH BRISBANE FOOTBALL CLUB KNOWN AS THE HAIRY NOSE WOMBATS IN THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE WILL BUILD ITS BRAND TO BE COMPETITIVE WITHIN THIS LEAGUE WITH AN ESTIMATE VALUE OF 6 MILLION DOLLARS PER YEAR. OVER THE NEXT 5 YEARS, THE CLUB WILL DEDICATE RESOURCES IN ALL FORMS TO REACH THE TARGET OF 25,000 MEMBERS ACROSS THE BOARD, INCREASE MEMBER SPEND THROUGH MERCHANDISING AND GAIN A 3 TIERS SPONSORSHIP SYSTEM (PLATINUM, GOLD AND SILVER). TO ACHIEVE THIS MEMBERSHIP, IT IS CRITICAL THAT THE CLUB MAINTAINS 98% CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES  EMPLOY A MARKETING TEAM TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT OPERATIONAL PLANS TO ACHIEVE ORGANISATIONAL STRATEGIES.  MARKETING TEAM TO INCLUDE BRAND DEVELOPMENT AND SALES THROUGH MERCHANDISING.  DEVELOP A PREMIUM SUSTAINABLE SPONSORSHIP TO ACHIEVE 50% OF THE 6 MILLION DOLLAR NEEDED FUNDS.
